L'Appart NYC Now Serves Mansa Tea
L'Appart NYC, a Michelin-Starred restaurant located in the Financial District, is now serving aged teas presented by Mansa Tea.
Named "L'Appart," the colloquial French term for apartment, this restaurant distinguishes itself from others of its kind with its ambiance. This fine dining restaurant, located in Le District at Brookfield Place, offers an exclusive experience in an apartment-like setting to replicate the atmosphere of an intimate dinner party. Guests are expected to feel like they are at home and are harkened back to familial experiences.
Executive Chef Nicolas Abello curates a rotating and personalized menu based on seasonality and market availability to ensure that every visit is unique. This restaurant serves dishes that Abello describes as "modern French." Each dish is created with traditional French techniques, but ingredients from countries around the world are incorporated.
Mansa Handcrafted Aged Teas featured at L'Appart alongside their new spring tasting menu:
1. [Bulang 2017] Raw Pu'er: This smoky and herbal raw pu'er is a more masculine alternative to the wildly popular [Yiwu 2018] Wild Lao Raw Pu'er. Harvested at Nadameng Reservoir, a top quality nature reserve located in Bulang Mountain, this raw pu'er has a smooth body and smoked wood notes. Chef Nicolas Abello pairs this tea with morel mushrooms.
2. [Menghai 2009] Old Tree Ripe Pu'er: Handcrafted from buds of old tea trees in Menghai, this aged ripe pu'er has a warm yet refreshing quality. It serves as a smooth introduction to ripe pu'er for developing enthusiasts. This warm and rich tea can be paired with Brilliant Savarin, a cow's milk cheese from Ile-de-France. This triple creme cheese will accentuate the rich and earthy flavors. We also recommend [Laoman'e 2018] Ancient Tree Ripe Pu'er for more robust and complex flavors.
