    Beautiful mellow ripe Pu-erh

Have to be honest, I bought this some time ago and forgot about it. Found at the back of my tea cupboard, you know, where the best teas congregate 🤣🤣.

Tried some and yes lovely sweet and slightly woody tea.

Possible the nicest raw Pu-erh I have tasted. No chance it's going to the back of cupboard, unless it walks there itself😉

    My All-Day Tea

This tea is very smooth and has a rich, full mouth feel that I particularly love. The tea has a growing sweetness that emerges around the third or fourth gong-ful style 4 oz brew. The smoothness of the tea seems to make me feel smooth and physically relaxed. While I'm relatively sensitive to caffeine, this tea has no caffeine edge nor does it make me jittery at all. I drink the 4 oz servings all through the day and feel smooth and happy. Currently it is my favorite of my many teas from Mansa.

    Beautiful color and very smooth.

This is my first pu-erh tea so I have nothing to compare it against. The color is rich and almost seems to glow from within. The smell is earthy and slightly fishy, but the flavor is very light and has only a slightly earthy taste, not fishy at all. I don't know how to explain it, though, how a tea with almost no flavor can feel so noticeably smooth in the mouth. Also, the 3 - 5 grams of tea leaves made 8 cups (4 oz each) of tea. After that, the tea lost its nice color and smoothness.

    Dear Laurel,

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience. We're delighted that you noticed the tea's signature characteristics - its luminous color and remarkable smoothness. The slight fishy aroma you detected is quite normal for ripe pu-erh, and it's wonderful that you found this didn't carry through to the taste.

The subtle flavor profile you experienced is characteristic of aged ripe pu-erh, where the fermentation process creates a uniquely smooth mouthfeel even with delicate tasting notes. Getting 8 steepings from one session is quite good, especially for your first pu-erh experience!

As you continue exploring pu-erh teas, you might notice how each one offers its own distinct personality in terms of flavor intensity, mouthfeel, and brewing longevity. We appreciate you taking the time to share such thoughtful observations about your first pu-erh journey.

    Kind Regards,
    Mansa Tea Team

    Loved it, Great customer service!

I loved the flavor of this tea. I was enchanted by the elegant packaging and constant communication, (Congrats on the baby!) Quality product and I look forward to trying other things. I was surprised by the "kick" of this tea. Definitely best as a morning meditation beverage, I'm a fresh leaf, or herb garden type tea gal so this aged tea was an adventure treat. Trust these folks, they care about their craft.
