Light + Nutty
[Yiwu 2018] Wild Lao Raw Pu'er
If you drink green tea daily, you'd already be familiar with the range of green tea flavor profiles: vegetal and grassy, marine and umami, or nutty and toasty. But did you know that raw pu'er (or pu-erh) is processed like green tea but has a unique nutty aroma?
Hailing from the historical Yiwu mountain range in Yunnan, this ancient tree raw pu'er is smooth and well-balanced with a lingering floral scent and a lightly roasted nut flavor. You can also pair it with Etorki, a semi-hard sheep's milk cheese from the Basque Region, or dark chocolate to bring out the savory nuttiness in the tea. This will be the perfect addition to your current green tea collection.
