Job Description
Mansa Tea is seeking a knowledgeable tea educator to conduct virtual tea workshops for our corporate and private clients. As an engaging and educational instructor, you will be responsible for delivering one hour virtual workshops on a need basis, with an average of 1-5 workshops per month.
Reporting directly to our Founder & Certified Tea Sommelier, you will also have opportunities to shape our overall tea workshop programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual tea workshops that are highly interactive, engaging, and educational for groups of 10-100+ attendees
- Understand the programming and topics of our existing workshops (i.e., Aged Tea 101/Tasting, Cold Brew Technique, Gaiwan Technique)
- Serve as a resource for attendees' tea-related questions on various tea topics, such as origins, processing, brewing, tasting, and health benefits
- Create engaging and interactive presentations to enhance the learning experience
- Collaborate with the Founder & Certified Tea Sommelier to develop workshop content and stay updated on new tea trends and information
- Attend regular meetings to discuss progress and provide feedback on workshop evaluations
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, evaluations, and any other relevant data
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (i.e., tea, education, performing arts, public speaking, events, content development and delivery)
- Strong understanding of tea origins, processing, brewing, and tasting
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Experience creating and leading virtual workshops
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Passion for teaching and sharing knowledge about tea
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
