Love whiskey? Especially the smoky kind? This raw pu'er (or pu-erh) is just like the smoky whiskey but without the burn. If you have a habit of drinking a dram of whiskey to create your sanctuary, you can create the same relaxing feeling with this tea without the alcohol.
Harvested in the Nadameng reservoir, a top-quality nature reserve located in Bulang mountain, this tea presents buds and leaves in beautiful shades of olive. The bright golden liquor has a smoky aroma with mellow herbal notes. Expect a long, smooth finish with sweet, woody notes.
If you are looking to pair this tea with food, we recommend pairing with spicy food, such as ginger chicken, dry pepper fish, and lamb vindaloo. This tea also has been served at L'appart, a Michelin-starred restaurant in NYC that offers a French tasting menu prepared by chef Nicolas Abello.
