July 26: Cold Brew Technique

Did you know that HOW you make your cold brew has a HUGE impact on its flavor?

Even if you prefer to drink piping hot tea on a 90-degree day, cold brewing is a great way to batch make iced tea in advance for a hassle-free summer BBQ.

Learn how to properly make different types of cold brew at our new Cold Brew Technique class!

During this hands-on workshop, we will cover

  • 4 types of iced tea
  • 3 ways to make cold brew (+ make some!)
  • a step-by-step guide to cold brewing

You will also master how to adapt our cold brew recipe based on the type of tea, including aged tea.

Two ticket options are available for this class:

  • Virtual class only ($25/attendee)
  • Virtual class + tea ($45/attendee): We will be using [Bulang 2015] Raw Pu'er for our cold brew experiment and tasting. You will receive 1oz of this aged tea and empty tea bags, including US shipping.

August 2: Gaiwan Brewing Technique

Have you seen Gaiwan brewing in action at a tea shop and have been wanting to try at home?

Tea connoisseurs frequently point to Gaiwan brewing as the turning point in their tea journey as they learn to taste different flavor notes at different stages of Gaiwan brewing.

Now, you can learn this traditional method of proper brewing without burning your fingers at our next workshop!

During this interactive Gaiwan Brewing Technique class, we will walk through:

  • the history and types of Gaiwan
  • 3 ways to brew with a Gaiwan
  • 5 steps to taste your tea to the fullest

Two ticket options are available for this class:

  • Virtual class only ($30/attendee)
  • Virtual class + Gaiwan + tea sample ($55/attendee): We will be using our Everyday Porcelain Gaiwan to brew [Bulang 2017] Raw Pu'er in class. You will receive this Gaiwan and a sample of this aged tea, including free US shipping.

You will also get coached on finding the optimal hand position for you. To provide one-on-one coaching to all attendees, we are capping our workshop at 10 attendees.
